Information Technology and Applications
Cairns, Queensland, AUSTRALIA
23 - 26 June 2008
The 5th International Conference on Information Technology and Applications (ICITA 2008) will be held in Cairns, Australia from 23 to 26 June 2008. The conference is an annual event and is recognized as one of the major series of conferences in Information Technology (IT in short). ICITA continues to retain its tradition of high quality conference and will open up an opportunity for academics and industrial professionals worldwide to exchange their knowledge of the state-of-the-art research and development in information technology and applications, and to establish and extend professional networks. This conference addresses the importance that IT professionals stretch across narrowly defined subject areas and constantly acquire a global technical and social perspective. ICITA 2008 has offered such an opportunity to facilitate cross-disciplinary and social gatherings. All papers submitted to this conference have been full-paper peer reviewed.
The conference site, Cairns, is the only place in the world with two adjoining world heritage treasures; the Great Barrier Reef and the Australia's Tropical Rainforest. Its International Airport combined with sophisticated infrastructure and friendly services makes Cairns a winning choice for this event. A visit to the Cairns for a meeting is the perfect opportunity for delegates to take in the vast natural beauty and attractions of this world-famous region. The region has all of the infrastructure needed to ensure delegates can explore in comfort and style and add even more great and unforgettable memories to their conference visit.
Over the past years, ICITA has been proudly sponsored by: IEEE NSW Section, IEEE Computer Society, the Univeristy of Technology Sydney, Australia; Charles Sturt University, Australia; Heilongjinag University, China and Jiao-tong University, China. For the ICITA 2008, we gladly welcome the Society of Industry Technology and the ACM SIG CHI Singapore to join others to be the sponsors of this event.
