Information Technology and Applications

(ICITA 2009)
Hanoi, Vietnam
9 - 12 November 2009

The 6th International Conference on Information Technology and Applications (ICITA 2009) will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam on 9 - 12 November 2009. The conference is an annual event and is recognized as one of the major series of conferences in Information Technology (IT in short). ICITA continues to retain its tradition of high quality conference and will open up an opportunity for academics and industrial professionals worldwide to exchange their knowledge of the state-of-the-art research and development in information technology and applications, and to establish and extend professional networks. This conference addresses the importance that IT professionals stretch across narrowly defined subject areas and constantly acquire a global technical and social perspective. ICITA 2009 has offered such an opportunity to facilitate cross-disciplinary and social gatherings.

Information Technology is considered by the Government of Vietnam as one of the most important driving forces for economic development and social advancement. It strengthens the country’s material, intellectual and spiritual growth, promotes the reform process, speeds up the modernization of economic sectors, and empowers the competitiveness of businesses. Four strategic thrusts of IT development are defined as Infrastructure, Industry, Application (IT use), and Human resource. (by Mr. Nguyen Trong Duong)

Over the past years, ICITA has been proudly sponsored by: IEEE NSW Section, IEEE Computer Society, the Univeristy of Technology Sydney, Australia; Charles Sturt University, Australia; Heilongjiang University, China, Jiao-tong University, China, ACM SIG CHI Singapore and Society of Industry Technology. For the ICITA 2009, we gladly welcome the Bac Ha International University, Vietnam and the Vietnam Radio and Electronic Association to join others to be the sponsors of this event.
